Salient Advisory Board Member Invited to Speak at NASEM Fall 2023 Meeting on Advancing S2S Forecasting
Dr. Jason Furtado to speak on the emerging role of data-driven methods for S2S forecasting at National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Meeting on November 27, 2023
BOSTON — Nov. 20, 2023 — Dr.Jason Furtado, science advisory board member at SalientPredictions, a leading pioneer in weather forecasting analytics, is speaking on the panel, “Advancing Subseasonal to Seasonal Forecasting,” at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, andMedicine (NASEM) virtual Fall2023 meeting on Monday, November 27, 2023. The meeting is focused on advancing forecasting weather with two to 52 week lead time, known as subseasonal to seasonal (S2S) forecasting, which has the potential to strengthen planning and decision-making across many sectors.
WHAT: Dr. Jason Furtado speaking on advancing S2S forecasting at NationalAcademies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine Fall 2023 Meeting
WHEN: Monday, November 27, 2023, 1:30p.m. - 4:45 p.m. ET
